be happy and help others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed with my best friend up the West Coast and into Alaska. I had such an amazing time and met such cool people that I had to return the favor once I got my own place in Bangkok.I fit a few people in with me in my tiny apartment, some of them have become great friends. Now I am back in the States and need some great people to host me and my boyfriend until we settle down and can host again!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, the best surfing experience I ever had was with Tony in Coos Bay Oregon. He told us he would not be around, but that he read my blog and I seemed trustworthy enough so he left his house unlocked and said we could stay.

When we got there, surf boards and chickens roaming the yard, Tony was, in fact, home. He said he was going to a solstice party/drumming circle over by the river (what river? no clue) and thought he would wait for us and invite us along.

Hell yeah.

So he loaded his surf van with beers and snacks and drove us through the countryside, telling stories and making jokes. We got there and saw the biggest bond fire I have ever seen. My friend and I began meeting people, playing with the puppies running around and helping ourselves to everyone's booze.

Tony got us home alright and I slept out in his music studio in the back yard.

Totally groovy guy. You know a good couchsurfing experience when you keep up with them around the world over the year...
