About Me

CURRENT MISSION

getting ready to move

ABOUT ME

I like to let loose and enjoy myself as much as the next person, but when it comes down to it I am very serious and result oriented.the best way to deal with me is as simply and directly as humanly possible. im no dummy, i just don't like searching through b.s. and circular logic to find out whats really going on. about the worst thing you can do to me is make a statement that leaves me guessing. i graduated highschool when i was 17. i began working in a prefabrication factory as a helper (but i had worked there over the summers of previous schoolyears); cutting pipe, filling orders, and doing all sorts of odd jobs around there. when i turned 18 they sent me out to my first construction site (a biomedical engineering laboratory) as an apprentice plumber. between work and the apprenticeship program i haven't had time for anything else like traveling in the past years since then. i just recently finished the apprenticeship program through the U.A. and i'm gonna take it easy this year, but i plan on going to college to get a mechanical engineering degree soon. i like learning anything anyone will teach me and i like to figure things out. i like finding discrepancies so that i can find a solution for them, i like working with my hands and seeing the fruits of my labor.

PHILOSOPHY

i live my life in pursuit of knowledge for me, i don't do anything unless there is something in it for me, even if it seems like i'm a very giving person (and it often does); there is a motive behind it that leads to a personal gain, be it knowledge, money, or just helping another selfish person that may invent something useful for the world that i may benefit from. basically i look out for me and you look out for you and it works in such a way that everyone moves forward and the world becomes a better place. i firmly believe that everything is in motion and that if we aren't moving forward we're moving backward, if we aren't working for life we are working for death which is exactly where inaction will take anyone nonsensical enough to avoid action. i believe god or whatever you want to call it gave us brains for a reason and as a gift not to be used lightly. i believe that reality exists independent of the human experiencing it. i believe that animals have insticts and that they do what they do to survive as a species and an individual because of them, i believe that humans are very different from animals in that aspect in a sense that they must use thier reasoning skills to survive as a species and an individual.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i just joined recently but i would like to use this program to create new experiences and possibly friendships that would give me more reasons to travel.
i wouldn't be comfortable opening my door to a complete stranger but i wouldn't mind taking you around town and showing you some hotspots if you are in jupiter and if i decided you seem straightforward i might let you stay in the spare bedroom for a couple nights

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i went to peru and i didn't know anyone there but through couchsurfing i made a lot of friends and had a great trip. i am grateful

Interests

in no particular order: music, metal forming, welding, brazing & soldering, using geometry in construction, learning anything anyone will teach me, meeting new and interesting people who are straight forward and willing to share thier experiences and knowledge with me, brewing beer, i would love to start surfing i just need to buy a board, irish whiskey and dinners out on the town, sitting on the beach with some friends, i love billards and ping pong. i am open to pretty much anything reasonable

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

when cutting down a tree, you can decide which direction it will fall in even if the tree is slightly heavier or leaning slightly to the opposite side

Teach, Learn, Share

there are 4 things you need to know to be a plumber: shit goes downhill, your boss is an asshole, payday is on friday, and don't bite your fingernails
just kidding, i wouldn't know where to begin or what to share, well heres something i know that most people don't understand. air conditioning and refridgeration and how it works: every element can exist in 3 states solid, liquid, and gaseous in a/c we deal with liquid and gaseous, when matter transfers from one state to another it takes extra energy (heat) to do so. here's an example with fictional numbers: lets say it takes one btu to raise the temperature of one gallon of water one degree, well it would take one btu to raise the temperature of ice at 31 degrees to 32 degrees but an additional 15 btu's to change it from ice to water 32 degrees to 33 because it takes a lot of heat (energy) to rearrange the molecules it is composed of well it works in reverse too, you would have to remove extra heat to transfer it back to ice. this is how a/c works only we use gases compressed into a liquid which then absorbs latent heat as it expands thereby cooling the coils, which then removes the hidden water in the air due to condensation on the coils. so we are not only cooling the air we are drying it as well which allows our body's natural response to heat (sweat) to work more efficiently because as the sweat evaporates off our skin the same thing that happens in the coils happens on our skin (heat is given to the sweat due to the matter change from liquid to gaseous)
