ABOUT ME

My name is Melanie, I am from N.Ireland and love to travel. I am now 25 (scary!) and never travelled until this year. Now I can't get enough. I am a sociable person who has an AMAZING sense of humour and I get on with everyone I meet. Travelling has taught me I can rough it with the best of them and the experience is all about the people you meet, not always the place.

PHILOSOPHY

Travelling has changed my outlook on life and made me realise life is too short to be stuck in a crappy office working 9 to 5 with a bunch of old farts! From now on I am going to try and do a bit more with my life, live somewhere different and eat weird food from road side vendours!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined the couchsurfing website about 2 months ago and so far I am having a blast. I have travelled down the East Coast and met so many amazing people and seen so many amazing things. When I return home I will definately host and will enjoy showing guests around my local town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had an amazing time couch surfing. I cannot believe the generosity of people and how they are willing to give up their free time to show me around their city.

Travelling which is probably most peoples.... I like to learn about the places I am going to and find out a bit about the history and stuff. I play the piano and love going to music festivals. I am going to a few this year which I am excited about. Making new friends is always cool and I have been known to go the cinema on occasion.

Muzyka, filmy i książki

Just seen Toy Story 3, brilliant! I love all the cheesy girly stuff and could probably recite all of Moulin Rouge. Action movies are cool too but I will not watch anything with Adam Sandler in it! I was a member of a book club so I love to read. The Time Travellers wife was wicked and I like everything from current stuff to a bit of Charles Dickens. I love all music and have just been to see Lady Ga Ga but please don't judge me on that.

Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem(-am)

Gone to Whistler and skied for the first time and seen so much snow on such a beautiful landscape. Also the Grand Canyon or Lake Louise in Alberta, breathtaking

I am not sure what I could teach as I don't think I have many skills. Knitting perhaps?
