About Me

CURRENT MISSION

getting on a better financial footing, having as much fun as possible, figuring out ways to make a positive contribution.

ABOUT ME

I've lived in a few places in the US and have travelled all over this country. Outside of it I have on been so far to Mexico, Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. I do hope to do a lot more extensive travelling in the near future, especially in Europe.

I do medical research studies as my primary form of income. I just recently made this my main thing. I'm hoping that the money I make doing this will enable more travel. It is also I profeesion that calls for a lot of travel.

I enjoy going to festivals and events. I like outdoor psytance parties and burn events especially. I like to drink good beer, check out local hang outs when I'm in a new place, camping, swimming, snow skiing and going to dive bars (among other things)

PHILOSOPHY

liberal/progressive. not religous but somewhat spiritual (lean pagan/hindu/buddhist.

I believe in the idea of being the change that you seek.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music generally both electronic and non-electronic. I'm especially into the psytrance scene but am also quite happy seeing bands play. I like to support local music.

I don't see a lot of movies these days. Recently I really enjoyed Avatar. Over the years I've seen plenty. It would be hard to list particular movie. I really liked A Life Aquatic, Natural Born Killers, the original Star Wars trillogy. Idk....

Mostly I read non-fiction, a lot of history stuff. Some of my favorite are Comming of Age in the Milkyway by Timothy McFarris, the Masks of God series by Joseph Campbell, Archaic Revival by Terence McKenna, TAZ by Hakim Bey.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Chichen Itza was pretty amazing, the Grand Canyon, Rocky Mountains, Hawaii.

I lead the organization of huge multi-venue music event that was also a political event in New Orleans in 2004. I was also the prssident of a political action committe that grew out of that effort. Also that year I was a driver in the motercade for Teresa Heinz Kerry when she was visiting New Orleans campaigning for John Kerry.

I once drank an entire half pint of whiskey at once.

I managed to make it home safely on my bike in the 9th ward of New Orleans every drunken night that I lived there.

Teach, Learn, Share

Oh I don't know. I like to learn about the histories of the places I go to. Could also teach some about history if anyone is interested.

I would be happy to learn anything.
