About Me

CURRENT MISSION

pursuing and sharing happiness (and my newborn daughter is helping me on that :))

ABOUT ME

I was born in northern Italy in 1979 and I grew up in a small town and in the countryside. So, at 5 I drove tractors, at 10 I could milk a cow and until 17/18 y/o I always helped a lot (mostly during the summer time) in my family owned farm.
Once done with high school, I started university and there a bad thing happened: I realized how fun and interesting traveling (and living in different parts of) the World is. So, when in 2003 I had the opportunity to spend 6 months in France and 6 in the US for a master, I took it and I left. I came back to finish my other master in Italy and I started a PhD (in the meanwhile I spent other 6 months in the US in 2006). But the thing was, I nosed outside the box (namely Italy), and I couldn't stand staying inside anymore.
So, as of now, I'm living in Wroclaw, Poland, with my girlfriend and newborn daughter. I have a very stimulating, international and multicultural job, and I travel quite often (or, at least, often enough for my expectations). We will relocate to Berlin in April 2016.

So far I visited 40 countries.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live (or at least try :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Milking cows; Doing wheelies with tractors; Driving around in central Europe with my 31 y/o car :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess it was an Italian journalist (Beppe Severgnini) who said that, wherever you go, probably the most important thing to learn is how to say "Hi", "Bye", "Please", "Thanks", etc.
So, here are my two cents for Italian :)
Hi = "Ciao", Hello = "Salve" (latter is formal);
Bye = "Ciao" or "Arrivederci" (latter is formal);
Please = "Prego";
Thanks = "Grazie".
