ABOUT ME

We are family of 5 (3 lively kids aged 9,7 and 5)+ our mop of a dog called Sizzles. We are really mainly working and being busy with the youngsters at the moment, not having much time to do anything else in the day-light hours. We like to play modern board games in the evenings - got more than 100 of them!!!- or watch good non-mainstream movies. If the waves are good and babysitting available we like to go for a surf (doesn't happen very often unfortunatelly). Sona also likes yoga,drumming, experimenting in the kitchen (with variable results), making stuff (like body melts and chocolats) and camping/exploring outdoors with kids. Andrew likes to talk about current affairs whilst sipping good ale or whiskey. He is also trying to learn how to make his own beer. Sofia, Paivi and Soren like to run and bounce about, dance, read, whistle and ask a lot of weird questions. The youngest fella is also an expert on dinosaurs. The dog likes to chase ball and lick madly everyone who lets him.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Picking up a French couch surfer hitch-hiking in wet Kerry and providing a bed for him; that was 6 years ago... we finally got to join the CS ourselves 2 years ago and hosted a good few interesting characters since.

Andrew likes folk singer-songwriters, Sona likes the same, some world music gems and anything that sounds harmoniuos and calming (very much needed as counterbalance to 3 small people CONSTANTLY asking questions), kids seem to have same musical taste as their mother + Jack Johnson. We all seem to be inclined to read non-fiction literature

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The whole travelling/backpacking experinece done years ago was amazing and watching our kids doing what they are doing is even more amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Sona can share vegan recipes, teach you how to make soap or massage bar, teach you how to massage your babyor teach few cool baby yoga moves(if you happen to have one with you) and talk for hours about baby's psychlogy/ wellbeing/babywearing and anything baby really.
Andrew can teach you how to play loads of games and can teach you how to surf (if you have never surfed before).
Children can teach you few board games too (usefull if you bring some children along too).
