Good question. At first I’m easy going. I like to spend time with the people around, when they want to. But I am also independent and interested in new things.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to host people from foreign countries, like to show them “my Berlin” and exchange to learn something about their life. But I also like travelling and when I’m surfing a couch I can see more of the real life.

TRAVEL & CS EXPERIENCE

All the guests I invited to my couch were very special and I was happy to have them around. I saw so much more of Berlin thanks to them.

November 2010: My first couchsurfing experience was as surfer in Dubai 🇦🇪 and it was so awesome.

December 2012 to January 2013: I travelled with a friend of mine from Toronto via Niagra Falls canada 🇨🇦 to NYC 🗽 . In NYC I met up with a great CSer and we travelled all the way down to Key West together. We saw so much and met wonderful hosts and "CS-tourguides". An experience I dont wanna miss.

March 2014: I travelled with a close friend of mine around the US 🇺🇸 , ... again. This time we spend time in Flordia, New Orleans, Texas, Memphis, Nashville, Asheville and plenty more. We had so much fun and our Hosts were so kind and hospitable. Besides it was so great meeting again my CS-Friends form the last trip last. I'm sure it wasn't my last US Tour.

March 2015: Actually not really travelling. Hotel vacation in egypt 🇪🇬

February 2016: Roadtrip through the beautiful Cape Region and great safaris 🇿🇦 .

October 2016: Visited Lanzarote 🇪🇸 a second time.

March 2017: At the beginning of the year I traveled 3 weeks around Cuba 🇨🇺

September 2017: I enjoyed Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 but most of the time in a hotel with some daytrips.

April 2018: 4 weeks Chile 🇨🇱 where I saw the Atacama Desert, Santiago, Valparaiso and Patagonia. But also visited Iguazu Falls and the Easter Island.

April 2019: Discovering lovely and safe Uruguay by car 🇺🇾 Roadtrip Montevideo, Punta del Este, Punta del Diablo, Cabo Polonio, Barra Valizas, Minas, Estancia Life, Colonia del Sacramento.

TRAVEL PLANS

2020: At the beginning of the year I will come back to South Africa.

2020/2021: Will take a Spanish Class in Mexico and start to discover Central America. Then I'll fly to the Galapagos Islands. After this I will discover Ecuador, Columbia and Brazil.

Centres d'intérêt

I love to go by foot or by bike and discovering new areas, so I am able to find the nicest spots in Berlin. I’m not a typical party person, about once a month I like to go out with friends but not in those high society clubs, more the alternative clubs without pumps and with good electronical music ;-) In summer I like to go to parks or to electronic festivals. I love reading laying on my hammock and enjoy the sun on my balcony. Oh yeah of course I’m interested in my two cheeky chinchillas.
