About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to make this world a better place by helping people to get together, get to know and helping each others.

ABOUT ME

I was born in France but grew up the first 5 years of my life in Casablanca (Morocco). When my parents decided to go and live in Brittany (France) I made a wish: to go and live in a warm tropical country as soon as I grow up... which I did! I lived for 25 years in the Caribbeans (Guadeloupe and Dominica)where my 3 children were born !
My main hobbies are travelling, photography (you can check my photoblog), walking on the Saint Jacques way and the Zen philosophy !
People say I have a good sense of communication. Well... this is one of the reasons why I am a "language expert" ! Anyway, I love sharing experiences, meeting new people and laughing a lot !

PHILOSOPHY

As I said above, my main philosophy would be ZEN and I believe in sharing ! I have also learnt that it is very important to be able to forgive so that your heart can be freed from any load !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My humble participation is to offer a bed to travellers passing through the South East of France and give them some advice about what to do or see in the region if they wish to know.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was young, I used to itch hike a lot through Europe and the United States. This is how I experienced the concept of "couch surfing"... I had so many opportunities to sleep on a couch and meet such great people ! Being French I usually ended up doing a little French cooking to thank my hosts ... you know my "Crêpes Suzette" were a great success !

Interests

Travelling and meeting people, photography (especially macro photography and by the way you can check my photoblog), speaking languages, reading about Zen. I feel very much concerned about climate warming and non polluting energies. I love walking on the Saint Jacques de Compostelle way and the Zen philosophy. As a matter of fact I love everything that could open my mind, set me to peace with myself and make me a better person !

Music, Movies, and Books

I like science fiction and fantasies mostly. I've read lots of books about self-awakening, fantasy .. As for the music, my favourite are Reggae as well as New Age and Pink Floyd ... but of course I enjoy lots of other different types of music !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

What I am proud of is having itch hiked through the United States from East to West and North to South for 2 months having only 5$ per day for travel, food and lodging ... that was back in the seventies and believe me, I met really nice people on the way !
Later on, I went to live in the West Indies and had my 3 children whom I am very proud of !

Teach, Learn, Share

hummm I could teach a few words in French and may be share my experience in photography although I am not a professionnal ..
