About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See every capital city in the world. and lots of lower case ones too!!

ABOUT ME

slightly random person, one of the many "what should I do with my life?" people, trying to enjoy it while I figure that out. Sadly I'm one of those people who could sit down in front of the tv for 5 minutes and suddenly notice 5 years have gone by. trying to stop that happening! I need to do more travelling, it's been far too long that I've been sat in a variety of offices!
Yay, I'm on the road again!!

PHILOSOPHY

If it's not nice, don't say it. (you shouldn't really have thought it but that can't be helped now)
Think about the good things and smile at the world as much as you can, it'll either smile back or be really confused, both possibilities are good things!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Appallingly little, I'm technologically useless but I do try!
I also don't update things very often (this is the first time in about 4 years - oops)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have surfed three times now and all were very good experiences. this is such a lovely community. I have hosted now as well, a very lovely lady and a great experience, it's a bit difficult not having my own couch to offer.
Surfed again in 2010, another fabulous experience! Hopefully going to get back into this again soon!
- and once again I let a couple of years fly by, back on the road and hoping to surf in Australia sometime soon!

Interests

Formula 1; Despite the slightly disappointing comeback I still adore Schuey.
Football, snow (want to make snowmen), food, drink, big open spaces in sunshine, the genius of toddlers. plaques!! exclamation marks! (only just realised I do go quite over the top there). Big fan of trees, gardens and happy folk!

Music, Movies, and Books

all sorts of music, listen to practically anything. love books, comedy, fantasy and biographies best. anything that makes you laugh or cry or really think. or all 3!
Lord of the rings- brilliant book, good film. Animated films, everything disney- I'm such a child! yay.
Just read 'the five people you meet in heaven', great book, great idea. Always like to hear new theories on the afterlife. (just read that back, it sounds quite odd).
The books of Walter Moers are fantastic, everyone should read them!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Finally seen the Rockies!! may be everyday for a lot of people but WOW!! and wow some more!
Walked on a glacier in flipflops!
Went to Japan for a weekend to see the grandprix, a long way for a little while but absolutely amazing, would love to go back for a little longer next time.
Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta, just WOW! Too much of Australia to list it all but so many beautiful, inspiring places!

Teach, Learn, Share

digital zoom on a camera is NOT zooming in on the picture when you view it!! yes I'm that stupid and only discovered that today! still, I can now take pictures of Mars and things in sweden!! OK, I'll try to find something more useful to teach the CS community - bear with!
