About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discover myself through discussion with others. I´m working on my PhD but I´m trying really hard to keep traveling.

ABOUT ME

I finished my degree in Mathematics and started a PhD in Computer Science near New York. I love to travel, meet new people and experience different cultures. I tend to talk a lot and I enjoy long and lively discussions. I like to travel, play and listen to music, play soccer, go sailing, hiking, scuba diving, beer brewing and doing improv comedy.

I grew up in Colombia but lived in Switzerland, France and currently live in the North East of United States. I have traveled through South America, the United states, through most of Western Europe and in some countries in Asia. I´m currently looking to expand this list!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I currently live in Princeton NJ and have hosted a few people, though it´s not a very popular destination :P. I am out for the summer, and will probably move to a new house once I get back, but let me know if you are coming to town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met many wonderful people from CS in Montpellier and had a great summer with all of them. While living in Boston, I discovered the city through my guests, Couch surfers and others. I often discovered old historic places or new pubs by showing them around. I also enjoyed the weekly CS meetings at the Cambridge Brewing Company as well as some other beach and party plans with fellow CSers.

CS Became the best way to visit cities. By meeting locals and other travelers, I get to see the hidden parts of world!

Interests

I particularly love Sailing and Scuba Diving. I was on the varsity sailing team during college, but sadly I don´t get the chance to do it as often as I would like.

Music, Movies, and Books

"[N]o one is able to produce a great work of art without experience, nor achieve a worldly position immediately, nor be a great lover at the first attempt; and in the interval between initial failure and subsequent success, in the gap between who we wish one day to be and who we are at present, must come pain, anxiety, envy and humiliation. We suffer because we cannot spontaneously master the ingredients of fulfillment."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Scuba Diving with Sharks in Bahamas and 15 day sailing in the Virgin Islands.

Teach, Learn, Share

If there is a chance, I would love to take you sailing! I can also teach you to play guitar or we could jam together. If you come over to my place I can probably share my seasonal brew.

I love to learn about your culture and like to taste your local brews :)
