ABOUT ME

Sup! I was born in Beijing but grew up in Auckland where I still live and currently work. Embarking on my first extended trip overseas to parts of the USA, Europe and China mid Sept.

I definately like to have a laugh, laid back, but motivated to do the things I want to do, singing (slurring) Pink Floyd songs after a big night, watching Pink Floyd Pulse on DVD the morning after, with a blue Powerade (energy drink) to soften the hangover, Yakitori bars, walking around in the city and I say AWESOME a lot... I'll leave the rest up to you when we cross paths!

Looking forward to meeting new people during my trip, learning about new cultures and places, having a laugh and beer, and sharing the music on my ipod!

PHILOSOPHY

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to meet up with some couchsurfers and hopefully surf where I can during my upcoming trip. I am respectful, clean, contribute where appropriate and make you badass toasties (toasted/grilled cheese sandwiches).

And when I get back to Auckland I will begin hosting as soon as I find a new flat so I can afford the experience that they have afforded me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I found out about CS through my good friend Jono, and have been to a couple of CS meets in Auckland where I live recently.

Playing guitar albeit poorly, music and concerts, anything sports - huge football, rugby, NBA fan and play table tennis, road trips, drifting, cars, issues in China, travel, marketing, food - both eating and cooking, boutique/microbrewery beers.

Would like to do more kayaking and read more books.

I always like checking out new music. I like too many bands/artists to name, here are some - ISIS, Crowded House, The Radio Dept, Trail of Dead, Opeth, Dream Theatre (for lols), Fleetwood Mac, The Roots, Beastie Boys, Band of Horses, Mos Def, Broken Bells, M83, Jakob, Jesu, Pink Floyd, Smashing Pumpkins, Faith No More, The xx, Bic Runga, cheesy 80's pop/rock.

I don't watch many movies - can you recommend some? I pretty much like anything that is funny i.e. Ace Ventura, Super Bad, Anchorman, Monty Python and the Holy Grail etc.

Tv - Arrested Development, Office US, Archer, Black Books, Blackadder, Family Guy, 30 Rock, Harry Enfield and the Chumps.

- Visiting my (dad/grand dad's) home town called 'Hei Shan Zhuang' (Black Mountain Village), in Shan Xi Province, China, in 2009.

- Sky diving in Motueka, South Island, NZ - from 13,000ft and it was AWESOME.

I can help with your English, Mandarin (spoken), teach you to cook my fav dishes, motor vehicle maintainence (cars are my hobby), if you are travelling to NZ and want to know more I can give you tips about getting around, different places and stuff like that.

I would like learn my native language Chinese/Mandarin properly, get better at guitar, learn photography, about your hood/patch/culture/self!
