ABOUT ME
Hi there! I'm an adventurous, active individual with a big heart. I am a curious listener, fun story teller and considerate host and guest. I hope to share some uplifting experiences with people in this community.
PHILOSOPHY
Moderation in moderation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I only recently became involved with CS but have had a gaggle of travelers I only recently met stay in my home. It is exciting that there is a place online where generosity and comaraderie are shared values.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When living in the Mission district of San Francisco a young man asked me to borrow my cell phone. He called his dad and explained he was having trouble making it the last leg home from Europe and the BART subway system was closed for the evening. His dad couldn't come pick him up and so I offered him my couch for the night until he could catch a morning train. We exchanged stories of people and places that inspire us to think openly and interact with dignity and honor.
Interests
Exploration of the unknown, conversation with people that think differently than I do, art, coffee, bike riding, dancing, swimming, hiking, turning over new rocks.

Music, Movies, and Books
Most recently Inception, Bulletproof by La Rou and Care of the Soul by Thomas Moore.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I handed out bananas to a homeless community in India in the middle of the night with another traveler. They had big toothless grins and were so happy to receive the gift of breakfast.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've recently been practicing hula hooping. If there are any hoopers out there that want to spin together, let's do it! I am challenge driven and like to encourage and motivate others to seek their heights. I love neuroscience and love to share and talk about everything from the nitty gritty awesomeness of excitatory neurons to how and why people behave the way they do on Earth.
