Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It's funny - it took me a long time on couchsurfing and many experiences to really understand what is meant by this question. Really I look for any experience. Traveling and staying in a hotel room is like looking for a restaurant and eating at McDonald's. Any kind of CS experience is great. I have stayed with hosts who were very busy and only gave me some keys, and I have stayed with hosts who showed me their favorite places. I have hosted Surfers who I saw only once and surfers with whom I spent 24 hours non-stop. I think staying in a real person's house is better than a hotel - even if you only have one or two conversations - because it's real. It's local. You learn faster, and after all, there are only so many years we have to understand the world. I am looking for any experience that is sincere, even if it's only a moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One of the coolest things about living in NY is meeting people from all over the world. I've been to over 6 countries and I nearly alway stay at my friends'. And I always have guests over so I'm comfortable dealing with it.

Interests

Meeting new people and traveling is what really makes me happy. Part of living in nyc is gathering others experiences and sharing your own. awesome diversity from people to music to cuisine. The more you travel the less you know... I guess I'm all about the thrill right now.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all types of music and movies... lately been listening to chilled-out or background music & watching a lot of comedies. As far as books go, I enjoy anything that will make me laugh or make me think twice about something aka make you go hmmmm.
