ABOUT ME
Hello there! Hopefully if you are reading this that means you are considering accepting my couch request. I encourage you to do so because I am a great guest! I promise :)
I love good conversation, critical thinkers, staying up all night, stepping out of my comfort zone, cooking, kittens, world music and good hugs.
I'm a chameleon. I have always been drawn towards scenes/communities that defy social norms, are way out of my realm of experience or that most people chose to ignore. I immerse myself in them to see what I can learn, because they are all representations of who I am and because I can. I am addicted to traveling, not just leaving the country (although definitely that too) but having experiences that force me to reevaluate what I know and how I fit in to this world. Most importantly, seeking out new experiences that allow me to understand life, love, joy and empathy in ways I never knew before.
I was raised in the villages of Guatemala, Fiji and Belize. I spent most of my life in the San Francisco Bay Area and I now work in Los Angeles as a VFX artist for TV/movies. I also sometimes work as a nanny for two small German children.
I have stories for days and my curiosity is endless. I have every kind of friend you could imagine and I can get along with pretty much anyone.
Although I enjoy the nightlife, I'm still responsible, clean and respectful of other peoples space and sleep.
PHILOSOPHY
being important is nice but being nice is more important
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live with 4 roomates and I dont have the space to host in my house. However, I do help out other surfers when they come to LA. My ex-boyfriend often hosts couchsurfers and I show them around the city while he is at work and help them find things to do.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couch surfed in Spain a few summers ago and had a great experience.
Interests
