About Me

I was born and raised in Bangkok. After high school I went to New York to study Industrial Design. After graduating, I moved to San Francisco. That was 2012. I now live in Berkeley with my girlfriend and I am currently a freelance food photographer (www.po-photos.com).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet locals while traveling. I like hotels and hostels, but ideally I want to be able to connect with locals and a great way to do this is to couchsurf.

Interests

Photography. I got hooked when I was 11. These days I shoot both digital and black and white film. I develop my own black and white film and print them at home. Check out my Instagram at @pobunyapamai

I collect typewriters, they're so fascinating! The mechanical engineering that goes into each of these machines just blows my mind.

I also love to ride my bicycle, it's my main mode of transportation. Cooking my own meals, vinyl records, reading books and chilling in the park. Ask me when you meet me, I think I have too many hobbies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a monk for three months at a forest monastery in Khon Kaen, the northeast of Thailand.
At four in the morning, we'd get up and walk barefoot through the neighboring village. The villagers waited in front of their homes, making a food offering; it was the best food of my life.
The rest of the day was spent meditating, all over the temple. Overall, an amazing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Some of my hobbies include cooking Thai food, doing photography, dark room techniques, and photo editing. I can also teach you how to build a darkroom (http://www.instructables.com/id/Home-Darkroom-design-for-small-spaces/).

Learn: I'd like to learn German, and improve my Spanish. I have also recently started surfing and really want to further improve.

Share: I would like to share experiences!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd like to share experiences and exchange stories. I'm always down for a bike ride, or a stroll through the city.
