About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Graphic Traffic ...

ABOUT ME

... I was born in a medium sized town not far away from the Alps and Lake Constance. Its always 5 degrees colder than you think ;) My current location is Karlsruhe. That's where I studied communication design and photography. I got my degree in 2014 and worked as a freelancer, moved to Bremen for a scholarship, moved back, worked for StartUps and now i'm a science communicator and university lecturer. While studying I lived in Amsterdam, The Hague, Durban / ZA and for a shorter time in many more. I try to travel much, catching new perspectives, meeting new people that share with their experiences. It is important for me though i recognize the older people get, the less they do it while their focus turns inwards.

PHILOSOPHY

a quote from Hermann Hesse:

Das Glueck ist ein Wie, kein Was,
und ein Talent, kein Objekt.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In 2009 my roommate in Karlsruhe was member first and I just thought i would fit for me as well. We'll provided our couch to other surfers whenever it was possible and i used CS while traveling around, too. I love the vibe of the community and the feeling that whereever you'll go, there will be somebody to help you!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Many surfers already visited our flatshare in karlsruhe. And i made only good experiences with them, met interesting people and it is really a enrichment of our flatshare - life. I've already traveled around with CS in Germany, the Netherlands and South Africa and the Czech republic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once was surfing the orange water of the indian ocean at the break of dawn.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've got a huge chest of so called useless knowledge.
Photographic skills, how to present things, how to communicate and visualize information,
last but not least how to have a nice evening, including to prepare a great meal!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I won't be the surfer who regards his host just as a cheap replacement for a hostel.
So I want to contribute to your couchsurfing experience.
Well the rest depends on what we're making of it.

Countries I’ve Visited

Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, United Kingdom, United States
