About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life before working in Japan!! :D

ABOUT ME

I am half-French half-Japanese, easy-going, positive and open-minded, always happy to meet new people, learn new stuff and party!

I grew up in France near Paris, then went to Toulouse (southern France) in 2007 for my studies where I spent 2 great years, made awesome friends and still keep unforgettable memories of it.

I've been living in Japan since the summer of 2009, doing an internship first, then a Master's program at Todai (Univ. of Tokyo)

Life in Japan has been great too so far, many new friends and new experiences, places to travel and new bits of Japanese culture to discover everyday!

PHILOSOPHY

I don't build my life around principles or philosophies.

However, I try to make my life a happy time, so I'm usually friendly, smiling and laughing as much as possible.

Don't worry, be happy? - yeah, why not :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host at the moment, since I am travelling back to France and then around the world till April 2013 (start of work).

In Tokyo, I might be able to host a little bit, depending on where I live and on how busy I will be due to work.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couched surfed in Montreal and NYC back in 2009, loved it!!

Interests

I love my friends, my family.

I enjoy meeting people, making new friends. Even more when I travel. I'm eager to discover new places, new cultures, new people.

On the everyday life, I enjoy my life as a student, having fun, playing sports (bball, rock climbing...), partying and all.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, this is so deeepp!! But I guess saying that I like everything won't really help. I'm still learning, so please share with me!

Here are a couple of genre and artists I like:

Electro/DJ
Birdy Nam Nam, DJ Shadow, Caravan Palace (electro-swing), Chinese Man, Surkin, Justice, Nujabes

Hip-hop

Rock
Prodigy, Deftones, Dire Straits, the Beatles

French music, new and old-school
La Rue Ketanou, Tryo, Yann Tiersen, JJ Goldman, Charles Aznavour

Classical music for studying or chill out

New stuff for clubbing :)

and many more...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing things I've done, this is not really up to me to judge. However, I've always lived my life to the fullest, trying to make people around me happy, so everything has been pretty amazing so far!

I've seen amazing stuff while travelling, things that even photos can barely grasp to the fullest. So writing about it won't really do... just ask me about it!

Teach, Learn, Share

On the paper:
- One master in Aerospace Engineering from Supaero, graduate school in Toulouse (France)
- Another master in Nuclear Engineering at Tokyo University.
- Fluent in French, English and Japanese (still learning kanjis though).

In pratical:
I'd rather share about my double cultural background as a half-French half-Japanese, my life in Japan as a (half-) foreigner, my travels

I want to learn:
Tons of stuff!! Culture, traditions, arts, technology, science... you name it!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Guadeloupe, Indonesia, Martinique, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States
