About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring regional cuisine and culture. Learning. Loving. Cooking. Eating. Improving my craft.

ABOUT ME

I am a out-going, open-minded, honest, adventurer.
I love food. I love people. I love being useful, adding value to that which has been abandoned, and improving myself, and the systems around me. Problem solving through practicality and love.
I love learning about people through how they eat and what they eat. I love learning new things: information, skills, relationships, techniques.
After 6 months living and cooking in top Stockholm restaurants (I Love Sweden!), I'm now traveling through France and Spain, learning as much as possible about regional cuisine and culture, and cooking/working along the way.
Previously worked in a large NYC restaurants as line cook and charcutier, (Taking apart pigs and other animals to make sausages, pates and many cured and smoked meat products.)
I'm eager to explore more of this amazing region of the word and its rich culinary character and history.
Also: I LOVE to dance. (especially salsa, latin music/dances)

PHILOSOPHY

We are all a work a progress.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My first two CS experiences were two summers ago along the way of a solo road trip out to Nevada. Both were very positive-- a great introduction to how this all works. Since then I surfed a couch in Pasadena while attending a conference there in November 2010. Now I am am all the more eager to continue surfing and hosting as often and for as long as possible. It's a little more tricky to host since I've moved to NYC... but the time will come, I'm sure. I greatly look forward to hosting foreign surfers once my living arrangements can accommodate that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed four times so far. Really looking forward to doing it again.
Prior to joining CS I traveled quite a bit and have always enjoy being a gracious, low-maintenance guest, and host.
Also, I greatly look forward to official hosting CSs, when I have a stable home to offer in the future. That day will come :).
