About Me

I was born on a cold November night in a private clinic. It was a Saturday. Apparently I was a very pretty baby. Today I'm an adult, but a child at heart. I am goofy, geeky, laid back, caring, confusing, random, deep and emotionally complex. Sensitive but disinclined to show it, I am messy and observant. I have a fear of snakes and I'm terrible at saving money. I am a daydreamer, asparagi obsessed, Canadian wannabe who loves to spend Sundays at IKEA. INFP personality and language appreciator. Really a person who's figuring it all out while trying to be a decent human being.

Quotes I like:
- Opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one.
- The easiest way is not always the best one.
- All problems are boring until they're your own.

I really dislike:
cold-callers, Pete Doherty, mosquitos, Miley Cyrus, spikey hair, slow drivers, capers, anchovies, people that spit chewing gums on seats, people that don't pick up their dog's poop, Lindsay Lohan, alarm clocks, people smoking near you when you're having a meal, queue jumpers, junk mail, fake fingernails, paper cuts, people who text in capitals, people who can't spell, among many other things that now fail to come to my mind.

I really like:
high buns, crosswords, candles, cooking food and especially eating it, chocolate, red velvet cupcakes, dogs, procrastinating, TV series, Murder She Wrote, dancing to really cheesy tunes in my living room, animation, comics, criminology and behavioral analysis. But mostly high buns and spaghetti bolognaise.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is all about connection and laughter. And an incredible amount of weird stories heard and told. Also huge amounts of drinks and food consumed. Not many hours slept, chatting, storytelling: getting to know one another takes time after all.

***** NOTE *****

Please don't ask me to host you just for free accommodation, this is not what Couchsurfing is about. Tell me why you liked my profile, why you want to spend time with me, who you are and how you think we match.
If you're looking for accommodation for your holiday or business trip, there are plenty of paying platforms that you can turn to.

Interests

I like spending time in book shops and libraries, I like the smell of books. I used to write quite a lot, mainly silly things, now I have less time to do so. I like criminology, to the point that if I could go back that would be my field of studies, maybe in my next life.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is so hard to fill in.
Movies: Lost highway, Le fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain, The Hurt Locker, Mulholland Drive, Green fried tomatoes, The Garden of the Finzi-Contini's.
Music: It's so difficult, I really like a lot of things, not a big fan of too heavy techno, metal and reggae, although the latter I can tolerate better. I've only recently discovered a passion for some of Paul Kalkbrenner's work, that techno I can enjoy.
Books: The old man and the sea, 1984, The legend of 1900, Dance, Dance, Dance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) Saw a beautiful full moon on the lake, while sitting on the pier with someone special.
2) Saw a 6 years old boy, running to help a 3 years old girl get up as she fell; while doing so he exclaimed "you gotta be careful!" He knows it all.
3) Plunged in an outdoor thermal tub under a January starry sky sipping rosé sparkling wine.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Italian, English, maybe some Spanish and how to crab dance! Also how to make a mean bucatini all'amatriciana.
