About Me
CURRENT MISSION
London in April
ABOUT ME
Let's see... I grew up in Brooklyn, but I moved to London more or less immediately after I graduated high school. I studied at UCL for 3 years and I've now graduated. I'm decently well traveled for my age.
PHILOSOPHY
I live my life for new experiences. I love to travel and I find the whole idea of traveling to be just about the best and most liberating thing there is. I traveled China on something like 300 pounds (counting my flight) so I try to be as minimalistic as I can when I have to be. Otherwise I just like to enjoy myself, stay on top of the news and learn new things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Only able to meet with people and surf until I'm reestablished in London with an apartment.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couch surfed for one night in Shanghai after I was unable to non-rev on a flight from there back to New York. Similarly, I've stayed in peoples' houses extensively over the years.

Music, Movies, and Books
For movies, Gommorah, Un Prophete, Born into Brothels, A Bronx Tale, Cinema Paradiso, etc.
I listen to just about anything. I'm currently on a bit of a grime kick which is probably spurred by the fact I'm not living in East London for the first time in three years.
Book wise, I tend to read mostly non-fiction. I can't even remember the last time I read a work of fiction, to be honest. That said I especially like books on the Raj, Central Asia, Xinjiang, Security Studies, Military History, Modern Indian History and so forth.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In short, Xinjiang 2009.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Sicilian cooking, Sichuan cooking or Bangladeshi cooking all to a very high level. I can also teach Muay Thai and I taught it for money throughout all of university. Same goes for boxing, Brazilian Jiujitsu and wrestling.
