About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel, see new places, meet new people, experience different cultures

ABOUT ME
I recently moved to Germany and will soon start work as an English teacher. I love to learn about different places and cultures, and meet new and interesting people. In my spare time I like watching live music, particularly folk, and I am a big football and rugby fan. I also enjoy the outdoors, I recently took part in the Andros Foot Festival in Greece and in the Spring I want to cycle from Scotland to Germany (with the help of a boat).

PHILOSOPHY

Bit of a wee idealistic lefty :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My immediate aim is to meet new people and build social networks through couch surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted a lot of surfers and I really enjoyed the experience. I met many interesting people and I am still friends with some of them. I have also attened Couch Surfing meet ups and met new friends there!

Interests

I am an avid football fan, my local team is St. Mirren and I support them religiously. I also love cycling as it lets you explore the local countryside or when travelling it provides the perfect vehicle for undiscovered territories.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music interests are diverse...I love folk, indie, reggae, punk rock and more. My favourite books are the Lord of the Rings, The Hitchiker Guide to the Galaxy and Kafka's The Trial!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Along with hundreds of environmental activists I helped drive a giant siege Rhino towards the headquarters of the Royal Bank of Scotland. That day was brilliant, collectively we believed a better world was possible!

Teach, Learn, Share

My degree is in Scottish History so if anyone is interested I would be glad to impart my knowledge of the subject. I am also very intersted in politics and always welcome a healthy debate.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to think I am a laid back person with a funny sense of humour. I thing its great to meet new people and learn about different cultures and ways of life. I love travelling and exploring new cities.
