About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have lived in Tbilisi, Georgia for the last four years with my wife. I love this city and am currently trying to explore as much of Georgia and surrounding countries as possible

ABOUT ME

An outgoing person never satisfied with maintaining the status quo and always looking for new and exciting experiences wherever they may be. I always look for the more adventurous side of travelling and for me 'package tour' is a curse word. I always like to go off the beaten path and enjoy planning new trips and sharing my exploits with other like minded people. I am particularly interested in the Middle East region in its History, People and Food and love Hiking and nature

PHILOSOPHY

A personal mantra - nothing ventured nothing gained.
I dont want to just see places and things i want to experience them and the best way is with a local

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have travelled a lot in the last few years using couch surfing and I have met so many incredible people that it has completely changed my life. I currently live with a great friend of mine also a member of couch surfing and when I have my own place I look forward to continuing his great tradition of hospitality.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have used this website quite a lot on travels now and I can't imagine ever travelling again without it. All of the people I have met have been really cool and have been incredibly generous in helping me enjoy their cities so much more than would have been possible on my own. It's a fantastic community to be a part of :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music = i love the Strokes and Kings of leon but i always want to hear something new and different so looking for recomendations
Films = a sucker for Back to the Future or Die hard though not the new ones, i love it but im good for anything that will make me laugh

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking the grand canyon was without doubt the greatest thing i have ever done in my life. We set off before sunrise and were halfway down completely on our own to see the sunrise on the walls of the canyon. It is something that will live with me forever, especially the exceedingly tiring hike out in 40 degree heat. Also if your there the helicopter is expensive but you will never regret doing it

Teach, Learn, Share

I have seen and done alot and always enjoying learning from and with others.
The best conversations always happen around a campfire or with a cup of tea
