About Me

ABOUT ME

Originally from Galway, Ireland and back living in Galway now after a decade abroad. Unfortunately my current living situation with 2 others means its not possible for me to host, but I'm always keen to meet like minded couch surfers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been involved with CS in both Edinburgh and Berlin for quite a while now. There is a huge difference between both communities. The Edinburgh community was a lot more close knit, obviously as the city is a lot smaller, but it was a lot easier to see familiar faces there at the weekly meetings and form close friendships with the regulars. With the Berlin group, I found a lot more travellers and people passing through, which is also very nice but on different level. I have always been one to attend CS meetings and other organised events. I got a big taste for the hosting and staying side of things when living in Berlin and then embarking on a 3 month journey through North America where so many kind people were able to host me and meet up.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Through couchsurfing I have met many friends whom I still consider to be friends, even if I never see them again and only comment on their posts or whatever, but I have had great experiences in the process. We have had fun, exchanged stories, attended events together and in many cases had some mad parties together. Of course, like in any walk of life, I have met some arrogant people along the way, but I like to think that the universe throws these people in your direction to challenge you, so by overcoming these challenges and calmly putting these idiots in their place, you can achieve a great sense of personal development.

Interests

I have a great interest in football, which includes the support and play. I love to meet new people from different cultures and backgrounds and compare their experiences. I have a great interest in psychology and love comparing views with other people on such topics as its a subject that many people see in different ways. I like the usual things also such as movies, socialising, travelling and doing my own thing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Its too hard to list just one amazing thing I've one in my lifetime, so I'm going to take the cop-out route and say that being born was the most amazing thing I've done. I am (like everyone else) here based on a chance of a few hundred million to one. As such, I have plenty of intentions to have a list (which I can hopefully mostly complete) of many amazing things done in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to learn about people couch surfing experiences. Travel experiences and general life experiences. I like to meet and speak with native German speakers as its my second language which has been getting rusty in the last year.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can shares stories. If there is one thing I am exceptionally good at its telling a mad story, and I have many to share. I also can share fun conversations and games, whatever goes!
