About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn about me and others, exchange opinions

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Vienna and still live here. But my world changed a lot when I got in contact with feminism. I teach mathematics, I work in a feminist organisation (www.efeu.or.at), I have many friends with whom I talk about books, play volleyball, discuss, play tarock (a card game).

PHILOSOPHY

I will share this with you if we meet ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer my couch ro women and I would like to tell my guests about the nice (and the not so nice) sides of Vienna.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had always guest I did not know in my flat - also I have not been a CS then. Since 2011 I have experience as CS-guest and host.

Music, Movies, and Books

That is really hard to answer because I have many favorites. I am part of a reading circle so I read a lot of different literature. I like Nicole Krauss, Marge Piercy, Sherman Alexie, Johnatan Safran Foer, Vladimir Vertlib, Lindsey Collin, Doron Rabinovici (an Austrian author), crime from Fred Vargas and many more.
With music my favorites are Tracy Chapman, Melissa Etheridge, Johnny Cash, Tango (Gotan project), Klezmer (Giora Feidman), Chava Alberstein and many more.
Movies: I do not like thrillers or horror; I am interested in movies dealing with social issus.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have an old house in Vienna (4 floors) and most of the 17 flats are in the hands of friends of mine. That is an exciting life experience.
