ABOUT ME
secondary special education teacher at an all girl's school in brooklyn. I love children, always have. my original dream was to be in pediatrics, but I'm happy with my decision to go into education. I also have a passion for childbirth and motherhood - becoming a certified doula is my next mission, once I receive my masters degree. during my down time - which is rare, but so appreciated - you'll probably find me with my head in a book, or my pen in a notebook, or warming up a bottle (proud babysitter since I was 11). currently, I have my eyes set on uruguay, where my boyfriend and I plan to move next summer. until then, I'm thoroughly enjoying my time in nyc with the beautiful community of friends I've surrounded myself with.
PHILOSOPHY
if your intentions are pure, i'm seeking a friend for the end of the world.

Interests
Inspiring expressions of creativity! Literature, in particular. I have books in piles and I keep buying more. I love taking myself to other worlds through words, and, occasionally, creating my own. I am a musical theater major at heart and my enthusiasm for Disney has never faded, so it isn't uncommon for me to burst into song at inopportune (which are the MOST opportune!) moments. I am in the process of knitting the biggest scarf in the world, and I sadly look at my guitar more than I play it. I am in love with romance languages--almost fluent in French, rusty in Spanish, beginning Italian. I enjoy contorting my body into strange positions with a room full of sweaty strangers. And no, I'm not talking about yoga. (Yes I am.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
it may not be amazing for some, but I see children grow and learn every day. and it never gets old.
Teach, Learn, Share
everyone is fighting their own battles. remembering this makes patience an imperative, not an option.
