ABOUT ME

My wife, Lisa, and I are a young-ish couple from Australia, although i am from the UK originally. We travelled around the world for 8 months last year, having fun, reconnecting with friends and meeting new people. We surfed in the US and Mexico and it exposed us to so many awesome experiences and great people.

We're back in Australia now, nursing our wounded bank balance by staying with family until we get our own pad again. As soon as we have our own pad we'll be hosting and we look forward to meeting like-minded traveller folk from everywhere and anywhere.

PHILOSOPHY

MMmmmm, i enjoy "la joie de vivre" but don't think i've found the one phrase/philosophy that embodies me. This needs to be discussed.....over a few drinks perhaps:)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently we're looking to surf only but in 2011 will be in position to offer couch in Sydney, Australia. We like the concept a lot.

Well its 2011 now--later this year we'll be ready to host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've stayed with friends in thailand, france, spain, sweden and the US on this trip...and so far we've surfed with 4 hosts in the US through CS.org. It gives travellers the opportunity to experience life as a local which for us is way better than being a tourist. What we have experienced so far has been unbelievable and we'd like to share our travel tales, pics, vids with future hosts.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to mention. I love music. All music, really all music. If someone has bothered to record, produce, release it...then its worth listening to. I can't list all the movies i like/love here either- the list is too long plus i know i'll accidentally leave out my faves...aaaarrgh. Lets discuss in person?
