ABOUT ME

*Please note* I can't have hosts right now. My house is under last minute construction. Also...I have been really flaky about checking my account messages lately. If you don't hear from me, I am probably just out doing my thing. :)

I am 27 years old and I am from Redding, CA. Most people have NO idea where the hell that is. If you are familiar with California, then I will say it's 2 1/2 hours North of Sacramento, if you are still lost on the location, then I will tell you it's 4 hours north of San Fran. :)

I sing opera. If you want to hear a little bit, just ask. Other than that, I play a little guitar, I draw, dance, act silly, laugh, hang with friends, travel and avoid eating pork (it's not a religious thing). Recently I got into Rock Climbing and I LOOOOOVE it! Let me know if you want to go while you are here!

I believe it's the simple things in life that make the experience a good one. If you are an outgoing person, we will get along splendidly! If you are an introvert, you will get a lot of laughs from my antics. :)

Just got back from a trip to Eastern/Western Europe. I had a BLAST!! :)

I have done a lot more surfing than hosting. I want to host at some point, I just don't have roommates that are open to the idea. Sorry... I have "hosted" a few people, mainly just showing them around. I wish I had my own couch to host people though. Maybe some day soon!?

Books: 1984, A Wrinkle in Time, Catcher in the Rye, Harry Potter, Jane Eyre, When Lovers are Friends (yes, it's a real book), and I'm sure there are other great books I have yet to experience; I would love your suggestions!Movies: Juno, Indiana Jones, Saved, Hard Candy, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Rush Hour, Rocket Science, Love Actually, etc... I like Indie movies of all genres.Music: Sarah McLachlan, Charlotte Church, Josh Groban, Hayley Westenra, Sarah Brightman, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, etc...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa when I was in High School. I remember saying to myself that I was going to go see it before it fell (this was back in the day when PBS was debating over how to stabilize the soft ground underneath) and lo-and-behold, a few years later I was standing there in front of it, watching it in all it's tippy-glory! And not only that, but I got to go to the building next to it and SING!! Talk about AMAZING acoustics!!!

yeah...the entire Europe trip was thrilling because we (our choir) got to sing in a multitude of gorgeous cathedrals with acoustics that would just knock your socks off! Like, St. Peters!! :)
