ABOUT ME

I enjoy living in the beautiful, mountainous Los Padres National Forest. I create projects for the Jizo Peace Center that I founded here, see www.jizopeacecenter.org. Currently my work takes me further north in California so I am home Friday through Sundays. I help make garden Jizo statues. Please see me on Facebook. I have two sons and several grandchildren who visit me from time to time.

PHILOSOPHY

Where to start? I believe in a higher Source of life. I have experienced the quiet of the forest as a healing experience! I focus on meditation and positive activities.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On a pilgrimage to Japan, I visited Mitaki - 3 Dragon (for the 3 waterfalls) - Temple in the hills just north of Hiroshima. It is a forested stream with many statues, particularly of Jizo. After the atomic bombing, people fled to this area as the only clean source of water. I became immersed in the serenity and sacredness of the place, and the wonderful variety of statues all over the hillsides. A memorial area for the unidentified dead brought to heart the number of victims of the bombing.

I have over 35 years of experience in meditation. I have been a social worker for 40 years. I know people's hearts can be changed and that our world can become a better place.
