ABOUT ME

I'm a 37 year old busy bee from Vienna. Besides being self-employed (photography, medical software) I love to travel and explore the world. That's why I took one year off after university to travel around our beautiful globe. That journey defined who I am today and I don't wanna miss any experience I gained during that trip - be it a good one or a bad.

Besides working for my own company and sake I host the Environmental Circle of the TUtheTOP alumni club, a subsidiary of the alumni association of the Vienna University of Technology. In our circle we try to educate people on subjects concerning nature, environment and sustainable technologies to combat climate change and global warming.

In the spare time left I do a lot of sports, especially Jiu Jitsu. I am currently exercising for my black belt. But burning heaps of energy also means that you have to regain it. That's why I love cooking and of course eating freshly cooked (organic) food. Excellent ingredients are essential not only for great food but also for my happiness. So what's left for having a great dinner with friends, couchsurfers and strangers that will be future friends? Well, of course a fine wine. :) I grew up in a lovely village and our garden was surrounded by vineyards. That quite helped to acquire a distinct taste and become the food addict that I am today.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I love hosting, surfing and especially meeting new people. CS is great for that! It opened the doors to meet so many new people. All those funny, interesting and lovely experiences I made while hosting people or staying at their places during the last years would have never happened without Couchsurfing. That's why I participate. :)

兴趣

I'm interested in good food, sports (Jiu Jitsu), music, deep and engaging conversations, long walks on a sandy beach/through dark forests/deep canyons/up the highest mountains, parties, hanging out with friends, going to the cinema, attending concerts, learn foreign languages, relearn piano, mixing cocktails, dancing and of course hosting YOU!

What I don't like are so called "songs" that don't have any melody just repeating bass and no rhythm.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Diving with sharks dolphins and a manta ray in Egypt. But the best thing was definitely the one year long trip around the world in 2012. Simply amazing!

I can teach you self defense and the art of cocktail mixing (and drinking). We could also do some spontaneous portraits if you would like to model for me. Aaand if I have enough time I can show you around in Vienna.
