About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find joy in every experience and learn from others.

ABOUT ME

Look at my photos and my hair will probably look like one of those styles.

I love people and enjoy almost anyone's company. I traveled a lot growing up so I guess I got the travel bug pretty young. I consider Japan and the U.S. my home although I've never lived anywhere more than a few years. My favorite experiences looking back have always involved exploring, music, strangers and great food. If there's anything else to know just ask. I would love to chat.

PHILOSOPHY

Happiness is never something you get from other people. The happiness you feel is in direct proportion to the love you give

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I attend Couchsurfing activities and sometimes host surfers. I enjoy showing off all that the city can offer or just grabbing a drink and hanging out with a new traveler.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far it's been a blast. I became active in the community in the fall of 2011 after moving to Seattle. Since then I've been regularly going to different events in the city and meeting with other CSer's and travelers.

Interests

I'm game for almost anything. Let's go on a hike, explore, ride bikes, jump in great bodies of water, go sailing, take an evening jog etc. Or we can stay in, knit, read a book, play board games while The Aristocats play in the background. Even better yet, let's get awkward, and go on missions, make friends and play in the city, go to a concert and get weird. I'm open for suggestions.

Music, Movies, and Books

Eclectic mix of things and stuff. Don't come at me with a scary movie though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled through Canada on my own in a car for a while and loved every freezing bit of it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmmmm coming from a multicultural, biracial background I feel like a lot of my experiences are unique and eye opening. I would love to share all the beautiful little things that is in my city that a lot of people don't get to experience. I can also offer origami lesson and knitting/crocheting lessons. Maybe some dumb games too. I want to learn another language but I need to learn conversationally. I want to learn about other cultures and experiences and fun songs and dances and food!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love music and I love food. I have eaten a lot of weird stuff and have gone to a bazillion shows. I can cook Japanese/American food and have meaningful conversations while listening to M86.
