About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live hard. My buddy sent me an article saying that tall people die earlier and I'm a pretty tall dude.

ABOUT ME

I'm a country boy living in the city. You might think that I would be used to it after a couple years, but there are few things better than hiking through the woods, hills, and mountains.

I'm always on the move. I love going to different places and getting lost, yelled at in languages that I don't understand, and eating and drinking with the people that I'm visiting.

PHILOSOPHY

Hoy por ti, mañana por mi.

Go out of your way to be helpful. Soon enough it will come back to you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've attended a few gatherings but am looking to expand my use. After having returned from a wild road trip that included some couch surfing in Estonia, I'm really looking forward to using CS.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was fortunate to be hosted by Chris Mackin up in Tallinn, Estonia for my first experience. It was a new experience to me, that despite being new, felt comfortable and familiar.

Interests

Hiking, skiing, traveling, food and cooking, languages and people, experiencing different cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skiing in the Alps, hiking on the Appalachian Trail, having a spontaneous picnic in the hills of Chianti, wearing my lederhosen to Starbierzeit in Munich, trekking in Petra, snorkeling in the Red Sea, brwosing the shuk in Jerusalem.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've worked as a bicycle mechanic and have a lot of experience in the outdoors. So, in the event of a zombie apocalypse, I'm your guy.

I'm an engineer and have finally started to grasp the German language, so to whatever degree that can help you, use it.

Teach me sayings, customs, recipes, etc. I want to take home more than just photos of my trips. I want to be able to take away stories and experiences.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Latvia, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Palestine, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Israel, United States
