ABOUT ME
I'm a very do-it-myself kind of person. I may not be an expert the things I do, but I try and that counts for something.
I'm generally laid back and often quiet. I like to have a good think as much as possible. But I also like having good conversations, and can make one out of pretty much anything, sort of like a communication MacGuyver.
PHILOSOPHY
My lifestyle is based upon reciprocal community-building. Every time I meet a new person I want to meet more new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couchsurfing for me is the spirit of meeting new individuals, learning new things, and connecting people to other people.
I don't ascribe to any ideology, but "do unto others" is a pretty good principle nonetheless.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I live best in community houses. Coming and going is a theme in my life. It is all about exemplary manners to one's fellow human beings.
Interests
My hobbies include music, phone photography, reading, and the occult. I love animals (esp. cats), textiles/textures, weird objets decor, ocean swimming, light hiking, and saturated colors.

Music, Movies, and Books
Bands win me over when I like them as artists as much as I like their art. My primary experience is with contemporary electronic music and neo-folk rock (not Mumford), but I'm always learning about old things that are new to me. When I was a kid I wanted to be either an investigative nonfiction writer or a neo-beatnik prose burnout, but I'm an adult now and realize the latter life path only carries you to a certain point before unceremoniously dumping you out.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I lived in a 1970s camper van with three other people for a fairly long while, and really enjoyed it. But that isn't a particularly unique experience, just a pretty good one. 10/10, would do it again with the right van and people.
Twice now I've moved to whole new cities all by myself; first NYC when it wasn't so expensive, then LA once I got priced out. Maybe that's not amazing, but it's definitely an experience. ??/10, the process is grueling but the rewards can balance that out.
There are other things but I cannot abide with seeming like a humblebraggart on the Internet.
Teach, Learn, Share
Esoteric knowledge is kind of my thing. There are other things that I can do, but like this, not all of them are practical things.
If you teach me a new thing, I will try to teach you something in return.
What I Can Share with Hosts
At the very least: If you suggest a donation of household goods, consider it brought by the end of my stay.
As for the more abstract, please tell me if you have a specific request, and I will fulfill it if I can.
