About Me

I like to go to places I had never dreamed before and I like to travel slow. Wandering around in streets, striking up conversations with strangers, listening to their stories, trying to get a hint of how they live and love and what is important for them. I feel lucky, because these likes have become my job somehow too. I work with a humanitarian organization in different countries where I am engaged with local communities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting other people can be great anywhere, in a bar, cafe, on the streets or the roads or in their own flat. It is always different to see some place with the eye of a good someone local. Lets meet up and change the perspectives!
I did couchsurf at friends many times, at people who picked me up at highways, people who I have just met, and also hosted people in my city just spontaneously.

Interests

Getting lost in new places, grabbing a beer and chat with others, going hiking exploring the nature, going out exploring bars, sharing smiles and laughs, playing music, juggling, doing all kinds of sports, riding the motorbike, riding a kekeh, hitchhiking a pickup truck, or a horsecart, listening to the waves of the ocean hitting rocks, feeling the drops of the waterfall on my skin, reading in a hammock, sharing travel stories, discussing cultural differences, rituals of faraway tribes, society, politics, interesting food, dreams, volunteering, hitchhiking and whatever comes up :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Anything from Salman Rushdie, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Ryszard Kapuscinski, Amin Maalouf, Sandor Jaszberenyi, Tales from the Thousand and One Nights

Music: Anything from Mali and well... from Sub-Saharan Africa

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked my way back from Iraq to Budapest. Volunteered in a refugee camp. Had a gig on a world music festival. Teached juggling near the Syrian border. Crossed several military and police checkpoints without a scratch. Experiencing a military coup in a country I just arrived. Climbed above 3000 meters with a massive hangover with no acclimatization and many more... I can tell you all of them offline :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach juggling, bargaining (you might be better than me though :D), I can teach some tai chi, but that takes time, and I have a lot of tips if you wanna start hitchhiking.
I am happy to learn about your life, your culture, your language, your music, your dance, and whatever you feel like sharing with me.
