ABOUT ME

(Bon, un peu de français ici!) Je suis une personne ouverte et qui aime parler aux gens, sans être pour autant un philanthrope convaincu! Je peux être surprenant parfois, même si je ne déteste pas la routine. Mais par-dessus tout, je suis honnête et respectueux envers moi-même et les autres. Donc, au plaisir de vous rencontrer.

PHILOSOPHY

"Do not that to another, which thou would not have done to thyself"

That is: think before acting. If everybody did the same thing as you, would the world be a better or a worst place? I prefer to go for the better. If not, than that is an act of cognitive dissonance. Don't be evil!

And as for politics, I'm not left-wing nor right-wing, I'd position myself in the center. That is, do not blindly follow any party; think and judge before supporting or dismissing a proposition, from whoever it comes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been using Couchsurfing since 2004... that is, a long time. When I discovered it on my first trip, I contacted pretty much every single users in France, which was less than 40!! I've been didn't Couchsurf or hosted people recently, but I encourage y'all to use it, meet people and share, it's the best and easiest way to meet interesting people!

J'adore rencontrer les gens, surtout lorsque l'on sent dès le début qu'ils sont des gens à qui on peut faire confiance et qui sont intéressés à parler et à partager. Après plusieurs années à voyager/héberger avec ce mouvement, je n'ai jamais eu de mauvaises surprises de couchsurfing, elles étaient même plutôt toutes bonnes!

Interests

I like so many things but since this is a travel site, I can say that one of my interest is simply walking, exploring a city or village or forest, especially an unknown one. I also really enjoy cooking (especially the eating part), playing drums and guitar, wine & beer & sun, seeing friends, practice sports (table tennis, ice hockey, tennis, soccer, volleyball, biking...) and a whole lot of other things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music from all around the world and from my own country.
There is just so much music since the dawn of time, that it's impossible to tell for sure what I prefer.

I also like to read. I especially enjoy comic books, but I also read many newspapers and magazines and some books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I was born, and am still alive, which is quite an amazing thing! And a few long bike ride, Montreal - Washington DC. & Tokyo - Sendai. Bikes are fun, yay!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a pretty good cook. I can teach recipes. Or french. I can also teach you how to play ping-pong or drums or how to accrue long term assets under the IFRS standards if you really want to.
