About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore boundaries and find solutions.

ABOUT ME

I was raised in a fisherman/hippie town on the Northern California coast an hour drive from San Francisco. I love to learn, and have always been a fan of school. I feel fortunate for everything in my life and am continually awed by the marvels on our planet. In the exhale of the same breath, I realize all the suffering our tiny sphere holds and the amount of work that has yet to be done to save the future of this world.

PHILOSOPHY

The people who mind don't matter and the people who matter don't mind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have not yet begun to participate in this community, but I am excited to explore and discover.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never couchsurfed before. I have, however, slept on a fair few couches if it makes a difference!

Interests

In terms of expanding my knowledge of the world; everything from soup to nuts.
Rock climbing, backpacking and any activity in nature has a special place in my heart. I love food. I prefer to dance to hip hop/rap , salsa, or techno music more than any other genre. Religion is interesting too.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to listen to all sorts of music, but here are a few off the top of my head: Bobby Mcferrin, Michael Franti, Bob Marley, Nas, Rodrigo y Gabriela. As for interesting movies: American Beauty, A Bug's Life, all the old Disney movies (only the originals. I can't stand the second attempts at making more profit), We're Back, A Clockwork Orange (book too), The Lord of the Rings (all three movies and books...don't forget The Hobbit). I love to read, and I could go on and on, but some of my favorites have been The Poisonwood Bible, Roots, 1984, all of Kurt Vonnegut, From Beirut to Jerusalem, HP, and all of Isabel Allende's work.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen the sun rise with the yip of coyotes on a still morning in the Joshua Tree desert.

Teach, Learn, Share

"A 'real job' is the job of being an open-minded and open-hearted human being. Whether you are a doctor or CEO or someone who considers their true vocation to be sitting by the side of the road offering a wave and a smile to each passerby or someone who prays for all beings in a cave, if you are being kind to yourself and everyone in your thoughts and words and deeds... that's what's important." -My Uncle

What I Can Share with Hosts

A hearty laugh, a big smile, a necessity for adventure, a clean & tidy impact, an open mind, and a hungry belly ready to hunt/grow/gather, cook and eat all the delicious foods of your homeland!
