CURRENT MISSION
To find the words to describe it.
ABOUT ME
I am a Canadian currently living in London, continuing my education through encounters with people and philosophies. Trying to learn as much as I can about art, literature, film, radio, politics. Compared to Lyon and New York, both cities I've lived in over the past few years, London is a hard place to love. After an early spring, though, and some resignation about the rising cost of rent, I've decided it's not all bad.
Having had a university experience that was both supremely mindblowing and supremely insular, I'm taking some time to figure out what I can do with a philosophy degree that would hopefully put a little more into the world than I've taken out.
I love animals and am desperate to have a dog.
I am also a vegetarian and have been since I was 15. I love to cook and bake, especially in the company of others, and can think of no better place to exchange ideas that in a kitchen, quaffing a bottle of wine while the lentils simmer.
I am a nerd.

Too many to name.

Interests
Friends and family, crowded tables for crowded convivial feasting, unexpected connections, riding bikes while singing, books that stun you into silence, developing philosophies over bottles of wine, art that stupefies, concerts of all kinds.
You know, the good stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books
Cormac McCarthy, David Mitchell, Baudelaire, Holderlin, Sebald, David Foster Wallace, Goethe, Levi.
When I was living in France, the only english-language program I brought with from Canada was the Kids in the Hall, a Canadian surrealist sketch-comedy show from the late 80's. I think this discloses a lot about my personality.
I like almost all kinds of music. At this exact moment I am listening to Chad van Gaalen. Before that, the Cramps.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing is coming. I can feel it.
