About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Cross all the deserts of the whole world, with a main focus on the US ones.

ABOUT ME

Half italian, half norwegian, half israeli, half american. I don't even know how many halfs I'm made of, but I know I am a monkey, a dress in black and I'm a professional deserteer.

1) TALKATIVE. Yes, I am. NASA labs registered supernatural scores about the number of words per minutes I'm able to say/write, specially when talking about music, food, art, graphics and design, traveling, and all the possible nonsense stuff.

2) GROSS. Yes, I am. But in a funny way. I might result not that feminine sometimes but probably it's the most lovable thing of my feminine side.

3) VEGAN. Yes, I am. I'm absolutely not close-minded about not-vegan people but this is my way to live. I don't buy barely ANY kind of industrial food, i'm into handmaking everything and I'm a good cooker. The first thing I would do with a new person will be to invite him for a dinner and invent a brand new dish inspired by his taste and personality, and in most cases people enjoy that, even the suspective ones against vegetables and natural food. Believe me or challenge me.
P.s.: I've been writing recipes for the biggest italian vegan community, here's my page: http://www.veganblog.it/author/gnubby/ it's in italian, but you can see pictures if you can't understand and feel free to ask for every kind of translation :D

4) HEADBANGER: Yeah, the thing i'm mostly fucked up with is music and is the only thing except for food I can say I have a huge culture about. I really listen to incredibly different kind of musics, and there's no limit on how heavy the good music can be to me. I suppose the only common point in my musical tastes is creativity and originality, the more mixed up the more that i like, specially when is hard and well played. Going to gigs and festival is my main entertainment, i don't give a fuck about all other ways to spend a night. A good gig is everytime better than bars, discos, clubs and everything to me, and i may result really loudy if i enjoy that.

5) ARTIST. Yes, I'm supposed to be. I mean, i would like to say I am, but everything depends on the way you consider art. I'm pretty sure my best skill is to be creative. I draw, I paint, I design, I write, I cook, I invent all the time. I'm really confused in doing that, but I definitely do it.

6) CONFUSED. Yes, I am. I'm black, white and grey at the same time, I have a few strict certainties (like veganism, eterosexuality, friendship), but except for that i change my mind all the time. Everyday i would like my job to be different from the day before, also the music i prefer, also the place i want to visit, also my fav dish... I'm pretty easy to influence and it takes a minute to get me enthusiastic about a thing, wich probably would be forget in not that long time. But that's what makes me experienced and learned.

7) UNTIDY. The natural consequence of being undecided. I'm mentally and phisically untidy as hell. Too much stuff everywhere, inside and outside. Sorry.

8) NOMAD. As my horigins are really mixed up (Born and grew up in Tuscany, Norwegian dad born in Israel, Lituanian granfather, German surname and 90% of american relatives), I don't have a proper sense of 'home' and I'm really easy to adapt in absolutely different situations, and new places, people and experiences are the things I really need to breath and get inspired about life. I consider myself 100% tuscan and proud to be that, but you'll hardly find me in the same place of the world in the same month.

9) DESERTEER. I love the desert. Not much more to say.

10) WALKER. Last but not least, i have to say I love to walk. I physically love it as well, but please take the word 'walk' in a more extensive way: I love to go around, observe, catch the atmosphere, see the more than I can, learn. And while you go in a foreign place, the best way to do all these things is walking. I'm not afraid of long distances in any way and walking is the best thing for me to breathe freedom.
And of course, i love to share my walk with people.
YOU might be next one.

PHILOSOPHY

Humans are animals. Never forget.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It's like my everyday life is a couchsurfing life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosting as much as I can both in Milan than Pisa, where I currently live. I have been surfing in Israel, Palestine, Poland, Germany, 9 out of 50 of the USA, always just me, my backpack and my ugly face.

Interests

Music. Then music. Then also music. Then, finally, music. Then, maybe, even: illustration, art, graphic (what i mostly do in my life), design and everything concerning it, to do and to see, specially poster design, graphic art, silkscreen, handcraft and street art. Vegan Food & cooking, outdoor sports (mostly hiking, running, free climbing), yoga, reading, theology, architecture, british humor, humor even if it's not british, good beers and whiskeys, whatever makes me have a good time.
