About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finishing my feature documentary (2015 present)

ABOUT ME

Descriptions about Ru :I'm a chained nomad.Yes, I am. This looks very poetic and contradictory.A nomad chained with a heavy metal ball?I'm really eager to leave for anywhere, but a little bit shy and considering. But, this has great influences on my life.I have met several nice people from everywhere, and I also will.Art? Film??These are everything for me, even if I might not be a good filmmaker or artist. After I meet you, the experiences that I have with you can fertilise my inspiration and future.Wouldn't it be nice?I am really interested in sharing our experiences and point of view with you who are reading my profile right now.Sharing emotions, experiences, knowledge, dreams and love is the only and final aim in my life.I am finishing my profile with a great word.'HELLO, Nice to see you'This is the beginning of our relation!we are not a vegetarian.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm sometimes too prudent.
That is my chain.

But I'm usually open-minded to everyone.
I've probably two types of personalities, one in English and the other in Korean as you guess.
I'm still learning English that I have finally noticed I'm making another personalities in.
I'm really talkative when I find something common with others especially in art, photographs and films.

Don't worry!
It doesn't mean the personalities as in 'Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.' :)

And I think that the more we share something with others, the happier this world will be.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Traveling as a working holiday maker in Australia.
It was my first long-term travel abroad.
I've spent 10 months in 2006.
It was a great chance for me to meet different ethnic people.
I could feel special solidarity with other workers.

The only moment that I cannot forget forever was on the road when I was driving on the Capricorn Highway which begins from Rockhampton to Longreach in Queensland, Australia.
I felt an absoulte loneliness and bone-penetrating fear and unexplainable comfort from the nature at the same time.

2. Aurora Borealis in Tromsoe.
It's still unforgettable and simply breath-taking.
You can't imagine it without seeing one.

Teach, Learn, Share

My mother tongue is Korean which is not very popular over the world at the moment.
Such varieties of Korean culture including films, musics, fine arts and politics so on are rising and emerging.

I'm a independent film director who has made 4 short films and is preparing a feature one right now.

So I can carry out a role of cutural ambassador between Korea and other countries.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, China, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
