About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a film-maker... of course passionately in love with film in general AND also with music and food.

NOT AFRAID of trying new things, meeting new people and eating anything that crosses my way.

I'm a personal believer of 'living right here and now', so I'm always looking for a bit of adventure.

Right now I'm also the lead singer of a rock band called 'Los malditos oficinistas' (The damned clerks). I love singing and making music. Besides film, it's my other big passion.

PHILOSOPHY

According to a mexican culture there are 4 things that should rule one's life to make it better and easier:

Give always the best of yourself
Don't take anything personal
Be accurate and careful with your words
and Don't suppose things

Music, Movies, and Books

Everything from Chabela Vargas and Omara Portuondo to Vampire Weekend, The smiths and Yeah Yeah Yeahs... so it is pretty vast.

Movies: My favorite director is Truffaut and my favorite film is Jules et Jim. My 'guilty pleasures' are romantic comedies and B series films... Love 'Head on' From Fatih Akin, 'Rachel getting married' and 'A bout de souffle' from Godard. Haneke's 'White Ribbon' shook me to the bone, as well as 'Salo' From Passolini. Latelly...I'm just grateful for films like 'an education' and 'a single man' and falling for late 70's early 80's simple and beautiful films such as 'footlose', 'some kind of wonderful' and of course 'Carrie'. Sorry, can not write anything more about film... Will take me ages.
