ABOUT ME

I am a smart, pretty, friendly, bossy, stubborn, brave, caring, independent, peculiar, curious, impulsive young woman :)

Different people get to see more subtle aspects of my personality. But for a general idea - I’m a pleasant company (after all, I’m either grateful to you since I’m crashing your couch or being a nice host).

Winter weekends I'm all skiing/snowboarding. Summer - hiking, camping, kiteboarding. Mid-season - perfect time to do things in the city. I'm a great lover of theater and good plays, which New York has abundance of. Photography - I'm all into it.

PHILOSOPHY

We live in a wonderful world. It should be easy and safe to be open, honest and free. Happy and pleasant. Interesting and decent :) Cool in one word. I have to do my share to keep it such.
Update: All this is conditioned by presence of intelligence.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

All eager to meet interesting people. Mostly I want to have fun time with cool people, get to know places as a local, an insider and not a visitor. It usually means eating in places not listed in tourist guidebooks, watching movies with host's/my friends, engaging in activities the host was planning to do. I want to show New York the same way. And to learn about it - I never stop getting surprised by enthusiasm of folks visiting the city.
I need to know where you stand on your stay at my place or with me visiting you - if you want to hang out or be left alone. If you are cool and you like me and I have time - it will all just happen naturally, but nevertheless, helps to be aware of everybody's expectations.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I only have met nice (a few) and GREAT (MAJORITY) people in CS network.
I appreciate the idea and effort made by the most active people involved with couchsurfing.
I have developed some dearest relationships across the oceans and lands through CS network. I feel happy and proud when I tell someone about CS. I have a million fun and touchy stories about my experience with people I met through CS.
I hope I never have to re-address this column.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunsets and sunrises while on planes always fascinate me.

Trekking on the glacier in Southern Patagonia in Argentina was out-of-this-world experience.

I saw a "cloud-making factory" down at the base of Machu Picchu.

I've seen my loved one's eyes during his first time on Flying Trapeze.

I've listened to my CS friend (Diana) singing operatic arias on the rooftop of my 5-story building at 2am surrounded by high-raisers in the middle of Manhattan.

I've quit my job of 6+ years with a light heart, good relationship with the team and great expectations for things ahead of me.

I have walked India (including Varanasi) in flip flops. Come to think about it, maybe it addresses to my lowered standards of hygiene more than daring.

Teach, Learn, Share

Photography. both teach and learn.
Russian. Cursing in Russian is my strong skill :) Hey, after the crash-course of Russian 101 you'll know what they are really saying in these movies with Yuris and borises and svetlanas.
Snowboarding.skiing. - both learn and teach or just do together.
Embroidery :)(is that how you spell it?) - spent 3 years in middle school doing that
guitar - one simple song learned from each surfer and I'm all set :)
anything I know - I'll share. anything you have to share - I'll learn. On condition both parties are interested!
