ABOUT ME

Born and raised in New York City and after many years of working in tv + film production and photo editing at a magazine -- I've decided to take some off to travel and meet new people.

I'm an easy going person with a sense of humor who loves little adventure from time to time. Love meeting people, discovering new and peculiar things, places and foods. Learning the history of a place (ancient and the recent), language, (I dream of speaking spanish and portuguese fluently), and about people is truly fascinating to me. So passing the time having a laugh and a chat--where ever whenever is perfection. And last, the beach -- I love the beach so wherever I go, I will be looking for a spot, front row.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

an accidental (sort of) couchsurfer host. The short of the long--I went to a couchsurfing event with a friend who is a couch surfer and wound up a CS host days later in brazil. Not my home, but a host nonetheless. It was a blast and we're still great friends!

Movies + TV... Homeland (addicted), House of Cards, Anthony Bourdain (Parts Unknown), Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Killing, A dona da historia, The Beach, Fight Club, Bus 174, and who doesn't love a telenovela?!

Books.. I love flipping through travel books, magazines and giant photography books in general...or anything that can teach me how to make or do something.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Waking up one morning and jumping off a cliff with my best friend --hang gliding over Rio de Janeiro!! AMAZING and highly recommended.

Finding my way around Yangoon, Myanmar on my own in a longyi tied like a man.
