About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be a better myself and a galaxy citizen

ABOUT ME

Born and grown up in the warm south China, I had my first travelling experience with my parents in Beijing at an age of four. We climbed the Great Wall in a snowy day. My father put me on one piece of those stone stairs, and got ready to take pictures for me. Right at the moment, I was blown onto the stone stair by freezing wind. I tasted the snow! That moment was so impressive and almost carved into my brain.

That is the meaning of travel. You never know what is going to happen to you next moment!

I love outdoors. Tall trees, waters, mountains, and clean sky are my favorites (you know breathing clean air is a luxury in many Chinese cities with all the pollutions.) I go into suburban places as much as I can, and that is the reason I choose my current city which gives me balance between city work and country life.

I have been doing solo travel for six years. I love solo trip as it can be quite freestyle, is open to uncertainty and surprises, and drags me out of my comfort zone from time to time. But it does not mean I want to stay alone AT ALL. I am pretty social, easygoing, willing to share and have meaningful talk with people. Some couchsurfers and people who I met on my trips have become important friends of mine. They are the ones you can rely on and have wonderful conservations in a starry night.

I am not an anthropologist, but I love the idea that one has to walk out of his/her own culture before s/he can understand it. Difference is a mirror through which I see my bias and boundaries.

Some adjectives people often use to describe me are cute, kind, nice, smart, funny, rational, stubborn, determined, straightforward, optimistic, independent, idealistic ...... You'll have your opinion when we get to meet. :P

PHILOSOPHY

Life has no rehearsal, so do the best.

Interests

I'm trying to narrow down my domains of interests no more than three because my work is quite busy and I cannot handle that many interests well at the same time as before. What I am focusing more are reading thoughtful books, doing creative writing, fitness, and watercolor painting.
