About Me

僕はデンマーク出身でコペンハーゲンに住んでいます。高校生の時に、二年間日本語を勉強しました。デンマーク語と英語を話します。日本社会が大好きです🇯🇵❤。日本人は特に歓迎です。いらしゃい。

I welcome all nationalities, but I encourage Japanese to send me a request, as I miss the company of Japanese people here.
I'm also happy to host low-budget travelers.
I also feel it is my duty to give back to the couchsurfing community by hosting those who have given a lot by hosting many people.
But I host all kinds of people :-)

Former hosts, friends and former surfers, are always welcome to send me a request as a message, regardless of my couch-availability-status. Please write to me if you come to Copenhagen.
I may have my status at 'unavailable', because I'm busy, but I would still be happy to get requests from my friends and those who hosted me in the past. I'm happy to return a favor. Also, if you stayed at my place in the past, or met me at a meeting, send me a message too. I may be available :-)

I consider myself easygoing and open minded, and I really like people who respect others. I also like those who call me Jiro (西田、次郎), as that is the name I find appropriate for myself ;-)

I think it's fun to keep track of where I've been, here's where I've flown:

I prefer your request to be from one hour to fourteen days prior to your arrival. I will be most likely to accept a request for weekends, as I'm usually busy at weekdays. Generally, the fewer nights, the higher chance I will accept. There's no upper limit, but it's only been a few times I've accepted more than 4 nights. I think 2 nights is the optimal length of a stay for couchsurfing.
These are not specific rules, only recommendations for your courtesy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To have different experiences. It gives me the opportunity to stay at more rural areas when I travel and live with local people, which is a better way to experience a culture. People are what I find most interesting about a country.

I also enjoy to host, as this broaden my horizon with great people from different cultures.

I have surfed at 22 people for a total of 48 nights; and hosted 41 people for a total of 114 nights as of 25.07.2016 (stopped counting). I'm happy for those experiences.

Interests

Chess, football and long walks while listening to music. I spend a lot of time taking a walk at home in Copenhagen, and when I travel I also like to discover a new city by foot.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Danish and Japanese movies the most. Here's some of my favourites:
Matador (1978-1981)
そして父になる (2013)
おかあさんの木 (2015)
The revenant (2015)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have an inductive and optimistic mindset, though I also value responsibility and courtesy to other people, animals and nature. I've chosen not to be jealous and I haven't felt jealousy since age 17. I'm proud of that.

Teach, Learn, Share

Danish to teach, personal experiences to share and almost everything to learn. At the moment, I want to learn Japanese 🏯 the most.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My company, and I'm happy to help wherever I can.
