About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy Vancouver!

ABOUT ME

I am an enthusiastic and generally excited person. People often comment that I am 'always so happy' and I have the lucky disposition of this generally being true! I'm cursed with a notorious laugh but it makes it easy to find me in the distance!
Though I am deliriously happy in my new Vancouver home I am still full of the big questions of 'who and why' but I've learned to love the questions in life and let them guide me on a journey where the destination is the road! In essence, i try to be present!

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is nearly the main issue in my life at the moment in that i can't grasp at a concrete manifesto or even an utterable set of guidelines! This world anxiety and secular era we are living in can be a bit overwhelming for the agnostic! So if you're not part of a cult you can help to guide me in my spiritual quest for a positive creed!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Previously I just watched friends at home host surfers but since we got to Vancouver it has shaped our social lives! We (my housemate and co-patriot Claire)are a staple at the weekly meet ups and are excited to host people and give back to the beautiful community!

Interests

My interests are the usual, especially for one with an arts degree! Reading, writing, knitting, a bit of juggling and circus things. Playing bad guitar while drunk at parties, current affairs, vegetarianism, global issues. All of the cliche but important things of a hippie persuasion!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is mostly folksy in Townes Van Zant, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Incredible String Band. Also a bit of Dubstep for the dancing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to be a teacher in the future so I suppose I better fill this out! I'm not a gifted juggler but i know the basics and enjoy showing people. I can also teach you some basic Irish along the lines of 'cheers' and all the other favorites!
