I grew up in Tehran, moved to Istanbul to do my MSc, the after two years moved again to Florida to start my Ph.D. My strong passion for Climbing, Mountaineering and Mountain biking have always been the derivation force to travel to almost all the beautiful mountains in Iran, some in Austria, Italy, Scotland and now U.S.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To live! Everyone dies but not everyone lives! I think there are so many wonderful experiences out there in the world, and I am going to have the most I can! I don't wanna watch! I need to be able to live with locals, learn the culture, and more importantly eat the food!

Interests

I love nature and all the activities related to it! I spent an enormous amount of my time mountaineering, rock climbing, hiking, and canyoning back in Iran. I also love to swim, everywhere that there is a chance to! Right now, as I am getting a bit more involved with my studies, mountain biking which I believe is the faster version of hiking is my new favorite!

I have struggled with deathful situations in winter mountaineering twice! It was scary then; it is a good memory now!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach mountain navigation, topographic map reading, and technical climbing. Biophysics, Computer programing operating systems, not Microsoft windows though!
