About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Spontaneous adventure and eating my way through the world

ABOUT ME

Living life on my terms as much as possible. Working in specialty coffee, and making plans for travel at every opportunity. Just recently finished a 15 month Latin American coffee/adventure trip.

I'm a glutton. So far, my favorite foods are Vietnamese, Italian, and Mexican. Food, music, exercise, traveling, coffee, and learning are my biggest passions.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't take yourself too seriously. Seriously.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've now surfed and hosted, and had wonderful experiences with everyone I've met thus far. Seriously, zero negative experiences, that's pretty solid.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far it's been a very positive experience!

Interests

Dancing to electronic music, gourmet cooking, organic gardening, long-distance running, yoga, adrenaline, live music, laughing my ass off, beer, whiskey, minimalist traveling, coffee, massage, eating well, and talking about eating well.

Music, Movies, and Books

My Morning Jacket, Queens of the Stone Age, Dispatch, Chili Peppers, Slightly Stoopid, Buena Vista Social Club, NIN, grunge, classic rock, house/trance/dance music. I can really handle just about anything but modern country music and modern rap.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitch hiking through the Australian outback after running out of gas, microbrewery beer touring through Colorado and Wyoming (sorry Europe, we have better beer), eating street tacos in Mexico City, Mexico, beach bumming through southern coastal Thailand, wine tasting through Mendoza, Argentinga, motorcycling through Vietnam and eating "banh mi" sandwiches daily, hanging with the locals in Jamaica and eating jerk chicken 3x per day, Skiing/hiking Jackson Hole, aimlessly wandering the streets of Amsterdam. Skiing the legendary powder on Honshu, Japan and soaking in the onsens after a hard day on the mountain.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm fascinated by food (and coffee), and ANYTHING relating to these subject are all fair conversation topics. Oh and I can show you how to make a mean homemade pizza or (insert any Italian cuisine here).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I always carry freshly roasted beans with me and portable brewing/grinding equipment so I can make you a fresh cup of banging coffee first thing in the morning. I'm also quite a good cook. My specialty is Italian and then SE Asian.
