ABOUT ME

These "About You" sections are always rather tricky when you don't know who you are yet; but, I'll do my best!
I was born in New York City but raised in Orlando since about my 5th birthday. Naturally, the move left me with this curiosity of what the life of a "Big Apple" resident would be; so, as soon as I graduated high school I attempted to find out! On a "not-so-well-thought-out" quest for self-sufficiency, independence and excitement I ended up moving too far North, making a small town called New Bedford my home for about a year. The southern tip of Massachusetts was lovely; soon though, i realized that at nearly twenty I was not ready to retire as all the other inhabitants were. Up to my neck in Whaling tails and museums full of scrimshaw collections, I headed to the center of the universe, NYC! It was everything I thought it was going to be...Plus some I didnt expect! A rat-race! Developing any kind of meaningful friendships with like-minded people was nearly impossible. There was always a next best thing! With so much to do and no one to do it with, I was lonely! I'm glad I had the experience, but yet another year was enough to make me miss home, family and stability! At about 21, I moved back and went back to school. I just turned twenty-three and although I gave Couchsurfing a break, lately Ive been getting the itch see things that inspire me. I want to know what I like and what makes feel the zest for life. I'd like to begin developing a real definition behind who is AmandaLynette. Meeting others who are like-minded and strong in their interest seems like a good place to start!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The conditions have to be perfect for me to host; but mostly, I'm just looking to meet travelers with similar interest and hang out! Would love to show anyone around or meet new people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ive hosted amazing people and meet so many interesting characters. Everytime I go to an event or meet someone who is a participant in the site, I always have the same experience! They are just so "REAL." No BS. Glad to be apart of CS and continue meeting quality people!
