About Me

Back on CS after many years!

CURRENT MISSION

Meeting and dancing with people around the world!

ABOUT ME

My name is Morgan, I graduated a couple of years ago in London - sh** I can't believe I'm not a student anymore! I'm French - I apology in advance for that! I lived for more than 5 years in London to learn English and then to study. It was the greatest experience of my life. I think that I'm easygoing though I tend to be a bit shy and reserved in some environments- don't ask! I like going out, socialising and having fun! I started a journey around the world in January 2012, it was supposed to end a year later but I think I've caught the travel bug and im currently still travelling!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short, we only have one so let's just live it fully! No time to waste!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a few travellers when I had my own place in London. Even when I was at my parents I hosted for a week an Australian guy who has become a friend.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have used CS so much the last couple of years. I met some amazing people on it, and made some awesome friends from around the world. Each couchsurfing experience I had were extremely rewarding.

Interests

Travelling, reading, learning from other people, cinema, photography...just having a good time, enjoying each moment of my life to try not to have any regret.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm really not fussy, I read, listen and watch anything! For example lately I've read quite a few traveling stories such as Down Under which is an hilarious book about Australia written by Bill Bryson, I've also read Ewan McGregor's diary Long Way Round which I though was quite good and inspiring. I love films. Francois Ozon is one of my favourite contemporary French directors. On the British side I absolutely love Mike Leigh's films, I've seen most of his films and they're all good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

visited 26 states (11.5%)Create your own visited map of The World or Amsterdam travel guide for Android

I've seen and done amazing things during my trip.

I did a 2 weeks roadtrip in America with a couple of friends from England. It was an incredible trip! We went through Death Valley, Monument Valley and we drove on road 66.

I went from from one side (rio de Janeiro) of south America to the other (Valparaiso) by road.

I cycled down the most dangerous road in the world, in Bolivia.

I went around New Zealand hitchhiking meeting awesome people on the way

I've been learning to dive. Almost died on the great barrier reef in the process though! I ran out of air but fortunately i could go back to the surface with a friend

I escaped a massive bush fire last January in Kings Canyon. We had to be evacuated 5 hours away, in Alice Springs

I have spent 3 months working in the desert in Australia right in the middle of summer when it was 50 degrees

I worked and lived for almost 4 months on a tiny island located at the beginning of the Great Barrier Reef

Teach, Learn, Share

I've taught French for 5 years in London. It was a really good experience and I even consider to continue doing it full time when I come back from travelling. I've been learning some Spanish when I was in South America last year; but i'm still a beginner and I havent practiced for a while. I really love the richness of languages though.
