ABOUT ME

MOVING TO ATLANTA!!!

I am in my mid twenties and just completed my master's degree in School Counseling. When I am not reforming education policy, I am hiking, backpacking, kayaking, biking and I love sailing. I plan to own my own sailboat in the near future. I love being out in the sun, going to the beach, hiking to the tops of peaks for the view and watching the sun set - preferably over a body of water.

PHILOSOPHY

I feel as if I was put on this earth to recognize the the injustices of our American school system and work to change them I plan to spend the rest of my life working on school reform issues. While I am doing this work, I want to have a high quality of life, which is where most of my outdoor activities come into play. I also feel like everything happens for a reason, and I'm going to die when I am meant to - not because I took a risk. So, take risks!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was introduced to couch surfing by two of my close friends. I am hoping to get more involved in the couch surfing community as my travel continues.

Couchsurfing in San Diego, CA made my experience there 100x better than if I'd been going it alone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I fear I haven't done this yet. But my proudest accomplishment to date, is my first solo backpacking trip in the White Mountains of NH. It was a constant struggle with few but amazing high points. It was truly an educational experience for me.

I've heard that sometimes couch surfers trade a meal for couch. I can make a great home made alfredo sauce...
I can sail and rock climb :)
