CURRENT MISSION
Places. Stuff. Do stuff! Preferably in places.
ABOUT ME
Born in a conservative town in the 1980's, Kirsten has turned out remarkably liberal. Despite the trauma of being born on Count Axel von Fersen the Younger's birthday, Kirsten performs well on simple tests when not given too many crayons to select from. Incompatible biology turned her away from a career in Archaeology when she suffered heat stroke while doing field work at age 9. Although Kirsten's passion for the subject still thrives, and still feels stirrings of pride when watching Indiana Jones, she went on to study history, linguistics, and most recently film. She has been to Europe, Europe, Europe, and can view Russia from her residence.
PHILOSOPHY
To fully immerse myself in any specific environment, to me, is the only way to experience it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd much rather have a personal experience with a Host or Hostee, opening up the possibility of friendship, rather than have an isolated experience staying somewhere else.
Unfortunately, being 'out of the way' from larger cities, I don't often get many surfing requests - which is a shame because I am a hoot. Really, you're missing out. Plus I have sheep. Sheep are pretty darn cute.
Interests
I have an obsession with travel and film and have a knack for finding 'the documentary within' during my travels. If there's a random lady asking you questions with a camera uncomfortably close to your face, it's probably me.
If you're game, I highly enjoy doing portrait work.
Very open to all artistic collaboration, in any medium!
